James McDonnell (Ireland)
I have spent my professional life working with farmers. I graduated with an Agr. Sc. honours degree in 1997 and have worked in Teagasc since January 1998. I have worked with Beef, Tillage, Dairy and sheep and pig and horticulture farmers across Ireland.
I graduated with H Dip in Business studies in 2005 and have worked on joint industry/ Teagasc development programme with dairy farmers.
I am in charge of the organics programme of events in East of Ireland ( demonstrations/ farm walks/ conference) and work closely with researchers and other Teagasc specialist advisers in developing agriculture.
I work one to one with farmers developing organic businesses and provide courses in Organic Agriculture to FETAC level 5. I can complete farm business plans and conversion plans for clients.
